★★★★ Filipelli is filmed as Filipelli alone, as Filipelli growing old, as Filipelli with his aesthetic obsessions. To say all this, although it describes the film, is not to take into account that Filipelli takes the reality of it to invent a character that moves, that shows the power of cinema to tell the truth through pure lies. The sophistication of camera and editing is the trick to believe in this fantastic Filipelli.
