Dra, what is neuropsychopedagogy and how do you develop it at your Institute?
Neuropsychopedagogy is a specialty of psychopedagogy that creates a bridge between the increasingly advanced knowledge of the functioning of the brain applied to learning processes in all stages of life, thus creating a new concept, that of neurolearning.
The Neuropsychopedogy clinical space at Braining Center develops its work from what we consider the starting point, which consists of generating the patient’s cognitive profile, through the application of specific protocols for each age (children, young people or adults) using specific techniques that They provide information on the cognitive, emotional and neuropsychological aspects of the consultant. This profile must provide us with valid information about the patient’s current state both mentally and emotionally.
In this way, we generate a therapeutic intervention plan adjusted to the needs of each person, with the main objective of improving their quality of life and that of the family context.
Cognitive profiles are an interesting proposal to be applied to the search for therapeutic solutions in people who consult for learning difficulties, academic performance, attention or memory, hyperactivity, autism, experiences or feelings of failure in the development of activities of their daily life. such as disorganization, forgetfulness, among others.
We use therapeutic proposals that add the use of technology to the traditional, with current intervention programs, designed to provide the patient with tools and generation of strategies that allow him to overcome his difficulties.
Another of the areas that we develop for all ages is cognitive stimulation, which is based on plasticity and brain reserve to improve the performance of mental capacities through systematically organized techniques and exercises, worked mainly in a playful way with games. that stimulate and develop different brain functions.
In what other areas do they work?
We offer multidisciplinary interventions from different clinics oriented to Psychology, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, School Integration Service and in work spaces such as Cognitive Stimulation Workshops, Task Club (designed to offer a job that impacts the organization and academic tasks) and the Lego Club (for work on social skills).
We are convinced of our slogan: “your mind in motion”.
