Dr, what is Naturopathic Medicine?

The term “Naturist Medicine” means “Natural Medicine”, essentially consists of the use of natural methods of healing and treatment (scientifically proven), of an ecological vision, of preservation of health and the environment. In addition, it has adopted, together with the Hippocratic principles, other techniques and disciplines such as Naturopathy, Phytotherapy, Homeopathy, therapeutic massage, and acupuncture, also called complementary therapies, of which “Courses and Workshops” are offered face-to-face and distance. for decades, since the founding in 1918 of the Argentine Naturist Association by Professor Juan Esteve Dulin. When these techniques are used together with allopathic medicine we speak of Integrative Medicine.

It is based on the following principles:

1- The functional unit. The human body functions as a whole, a symbiotic organism, where each organ must function correctly and in balance with the others.

2- The fundamental Principle: It is Vis Medicatrix Naturae or healing force of human nature, said Hippocrates, it is the one who strengthens, immunizes and heals us, it is in itself, the true doctor.

3- Promote health through hygiene: Healthy nutrition, exercise, healthy habits, relaxation and other measures that promote health, to prevent and promote the cure of diseases.

4- The Hippocratic principle of “Primun non nocere” is the rule, being preferable not to intervene and leave the natural course of the disease, before doing it incorrectly and damaging.

5- Symptoms such as fever are, for example, a manifestation of the natural healing process; so it must be respected, relieve naturally so that later you can continue with the treatment.

Life must be regulated according to natural laws, as Professor Juan Esteve Dulin affirmed, these are never broken without negative consequences. We must follow the “Naturopathic Principles” in order to live in harmony with nature both in an environmental sense and in terms of personal and community health, consuming agroecological foods, according to the bases of Hygienism.

Naturopathic Medicine is therefore a fundamental tool in the current era and should be adopted by all countries as urged by resolution WH A. 62.13 of the World Health Organization for the current period 2014-2023, and especially those current members of the WHO.
