New Zealand closed to international tourists until October

Almost two years after New Zealand closed its borders to keep the corona virus out, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern promises in a press conference on Thursday to reopen the national borders in phases. However, international tourists will not be allowed to travel to the country again until October. From the end of February, the first New Zealanders from Australia will be welcome in their own country without the hotel quarantine that was mandatory for much of the corona pandemic.
