We took on the task to further increase the brand value of Turkish football and ensure success in the international arena. We would like to thank our distinguished clubs who supported us in our journey with the motto of remaining equal distance to every jersey and color, all football lovers who gave constructive criticism, my colleagues who took responsibility, and our fans, the real owners of football, who follow this beautiful game closely, both on the field and in front of their televisions.
We achieved proud successes for our football in 2024. Our National Team brought joy to our country in the quarter finals of the European Football Championship. We would like to thank our National Team for successfully representing us in one of the biggest organizations in the world. We missed the chance to be promoted to League A in the UEFA Nations League at the last minute. We want to take part in the A League for the first time in our history by passing Hungary in the play-off stage in the new year. Our World Cup journey begins in 2025. We believe that our National Team, in great harmony, will pass the qualifications and end our 24-year longing for the World Cup.
Our National Women’s Football Team, which played in the play-offs in the European Championship Qualifiers for the first time in our history, will face important tests in the new year to be promoted to League A in the UEFA Nations League. We wish success to our Women’s National Team on this journey.
Our clubs will represent our country in the best way with their success in European cups in the new year. This will enable our country to move even higher in the UEFA rankings and increase the number of teams that will perform in Europe in the future.
As the Turkish Football Federation, we continue our work sincerely and determinedly to ensure the sporting development, financial sustainability, and fair competition environment on and off the field of Turkish football. In the new year, we will spend all our energy for the development of Turkish football. In this regard, we will further increase our cooperation with our clubs.
We have taken the first steps of a new system in refereeing. We want clubs to take an active role in referee appointments with the new season.
We must make our football one of the leading leagues in the world by revealing the potential of Turkish youth. For this, we need a positive football climate. Instead of fighting and arguing, we need to act with a culture of cooperation and mutual understanding.
Türkiye is the leading country in the region. Aware of this historical responsibility, we act with the mission of making our country one of the leading football leagues in Europe and the world.
We continue our efforts to increase the revenues of Turkish football. In this regard, we are making new collaborations for both national teams and professional leagues, and we will continue to do so. We would like to thank our business partners who serve Turkish football by supporting our federation.
