New transfer rumor probably “not true”

Despite the brilliant Bundesliga start with the 6-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt, there is still lively transfer speculation about FC Bayern. An offensive talent is being traded by the German record champions – and it probably won’t come anyway.

As early as autumn 2020, Spanish media reported on FC Bayern’s interest in Konrad de La Fuente. BVB was also associated with the US winger at the time.

Almost two years later, the German record champions are said to have had their eye on de La Fuente again.

He is now under contract with Olympique Marseille. Despite a contract that runs until 2025, there have been rumors about his future with the French for weeks.

Transfer rumors about FC Bayern

However, according to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, an almost certain move to Spain to Real Valladolid fell through at the last minute.

De la Fuente is said to have canceled a verbal agreement with the club from Castile – also because of the well-known other interested parties who had recently sought his services.

Apparently not only FC Bayern has put out feelers to de la Fuente. Moretto, who works for the social media news channel “Relevo”, also names Besiktas, FC Porto and Borussia Mönchengladbach as possible buyers. De la Fuente’s market value is estimated at around six million euros.

Five newcomers to FC Bayern so far

According to “Bild” football boss Christian Falk, the fact that FC Bayern is actually trying to get de la Fuente does not correspond to the facts. The rumor was “not true,” the reporter tweeted.

FC Bayern had landed five external newcomers for the season that had just started: Sadio Mané (Liverpool FC), Mathys Tel (Stade Rennes), Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus) as well as Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch (both Ajax Amsterdam).

Among others, Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona), Corentin Tolisso (Olympique Lyon) and Niklas Süle (Borussia Dortmund) left Munich.
