New store in Ahmedabad: Zara is expanding in India

The Zara chain, which belongs to the Spanish clothing group Inditex, has expanded its presence in India. On Thursday, the company announced the opening of a new branch in Ahmedabad. Zara now has 23 stores in the country.

In Ahmedabad, Zara is now using premises with an area of ​​around 2,500 square meters on three floors in the Palladium Mall. The new shopfitting concept for large branches was used, which combines stationary and digital services. It is the textile retailer’s first store in the metropolis in the western Indian state of Gujarat, which has a population of over five million.

Zara has been present in India since 2010. The stores there are operated by Inditex Trent, a joint venture between Inditex and the Indian conglomerate Tata. A separate online shop was also opened in 2017.
