Good news for snack and sandwich producer Vleems from Emmen. The company that declared bankruptcy last week is getting a restart. This was announced by curator Jonatan Faas of Rein Advocaten en Adviseurs.

Flemmings, the party that previously took over the production of hot dogs and other sandwiches, is now also taking over the production of pre-packed sandwiches. This puts the entire company in the hands of Flemmings.

Faas says that Flemmings will set up a BV for this purpose: “It is not yet clear what exactly they will make in Emmen.”

There will be no layoffs, the curator said. The eight employees will all be offered a new employment contract.

“It is also good news for creditors,” says Faas. “Because we managed to negotiate a nice purchase price.”

Vleems also experienced a restart after a previous bankruptcy in 2019.
