The police unions, Minister David van Weel of Justice and Security and police chief Janny Knol today signed the new police collective agreement (Employment Conditions Agreement Agreement). Despite the complex social and administrative situation, parties have succeeded in achieving a balanced package of agreements well before the end of the current employment conditions agreement. The income of police officers will be increased in the coming years by a total salary increase of 8.5%. Police officers also received a one-off payment of € 1100 gross in December 2025 and in September 2026. Furthermore, the new collective labor agreement will pay attention to the sustainable employability of police officers and the opportunity to resign early.

Every day police officers ensure the safety of all of us. We ask a lot from our police officers and we reward that financially. We also take into account a sustainable employability of police officers and offer police officers to resign earlier. Income

During the term of the new employment conditions agreement, from December 1, 2025 to December 15, 2027, the following salary increases will be implemented:

  • As of December 1, 2025, the salary will be increased by 1%.
  • As of March 1, 2026, the salary will be increased by 2%.
  • As of 1 September 2026, the salary will be increased by 2%.
  • As of January 1, 2027, the salary will be increased by 2%.
  • As of July 1, 2027, the salary will be increased by 1.5%.

In total there is a salary increase of 8.5%during the term.

One -off benefit

Police officers will also receive a one-off payment of € 1100 gross as of December 1, 2025 and 1 September 2026. It has also been agreed that the individual choice budget (IKB) will be raised net to € 500.

Sustainable employability and early retirement

The new employment conditions agreement includes agreements that are aimed at that police officers are and remain sustainable during their police career. In addition, parties -oriented agreements have made the possibility of early retirement for police officers with heavy work, who were born in 1962, 1963, 1964 and the first quarter of 1965. These agreements fit within the framework of the Central Agreement Healthy to Pension.

Other appointments

Furthermore, agreements have been made about inflow and flow opportunities, career perspective, reward for aspirants, repayment of the study debt, inclusion, sustainability and police volunteers.
