Norway has designated Reitan, near the city of Bodø and above the polar circle, as location for the third Comed Air Operations Center (CAOC) of NATO. The new command center will play a crucial role in the coordination of airspace and the planning and implementation of military air operations, according to the Norwegian Ministry of Defense.
