New Mirror Managing Director comes from Amazon

Lululemon has named Michael Aragon as CEO of Mirror and Lululemon Digital Fitness.

Aragon will take up his new position on January 17th, announced the Canadian sports goods company on Thursday. He is supposed to drive the expansion of the digital home fitness platform. He will report directly to Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald.

“Mike Aragon has an impressive track record of building successful brands by connecting people and building communities through digital content and experiences,” said McDonald. “He’s the ideal leader to pave the way for Mirror as we connect with the 10+ million Lululemon guests who live the sweat-life.”

Before taking up his position as Managing Director of Mirror, Aragon was with the e-commerce giant Amazon. There he worked as Chief Content Officer at the live streaming platform Twitch. He also worked for Ellation, AT&T and the Sony Group.

“Mirror has a strong market position with a growing subscriber base and I look forward to building on that solid foundation and defining the next chapter of growth with the talented Mirror team,” said Aragon.

Lululemon Athletica Inc. bought Mirror for $ 500 million in late June 2020. Mirror was founded in 2018 and Lululemon first invested in the New York fitness systems provider in 2019.
