AHJJ (Alexander) Luijten has been appointed mayor of the municipality of Heemskerk. The appointment will take effect on December 15, 2022.

Mr Luijten (59 years old) is a member of the VVD. He is currently an alderman at the municipality of Gooise Meren.
Sicko Heldoorn (PvdA) is currently acting mayor of Heemskerk.
