New IT boss comes from the Schwarz Group – expansion of the online shop

Takko Fashion has appointed Bastian King as Chief Information Officer (CIO).

King will take up his new role at the Telgte textile discounter on March 1st, Takko announced on Friday. In this role, he will lead all IT departments and be responsible for “digital transformation” and “sustainable digital development in all business areas”.

“Takko Fashion aims to become a digitized, data-driven company,” said Takko CEO Tjeerd Jegen. “Accordingly, we will raise our IT infrastructure to the next level. We are very pleased that we were able to inspire Bastian King as our new CIO for the responsible tasks associated with this.”

One of King’s first steps is to implement an EPR system for all business units and companies so that the company can control data management more centrally and automate future processes. Takko also plans to expand the IT department and hire more employees.

The new IT boss comes from the German food retailer Schwarz Gruppe, which owns Lidl and Kaufland. There he was last active as managing director of the IT branch Schwarz IT KG and was responsible for the customer systems of the group.

Takko expands with customer app and online shop

About a year ago, Takko launched its app for customers, “Takko Friends”, which now has 2.6 million registered users in Germany. Now the company wants to launch the app in other markets as well. In addition, the company’s own online shop is to be rolled out in other countries, including Austria, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“There are many exciting tasks ahead of us and I look forward to shaping the digital transformation of Takko Fashion with the entire IT team,” says King.
