New in the database: Oberliga Südwest 1987/88 with champions Mainz 05 – first steps from Basler

I don’t want to downplay your efforts in any way, but could you perhaps provide current data first? I’m thinking, for example, of the U24 Asian Games. As a VFB fan, I notice this more because Jeong was the top scorer and the winner. Nevertheless, it would be nice if this would appear in his successes, for example. The stats and the games in general don’t even appear in his profile. In addition, most of the teams were called Olympic teams. It may be that one or two teams had this in terms of equations, but it is still a completely different tournament and I would therefore like it to be treated that way.

Even though I have just highlighted this tournament, there are definitely other areas as well. For example, there are all the youth teams. In France, for example, the U17 teams. But also in England. This is particularly interesting because debuts are becoming more common at younger and younger ages. Transfers in the u18 area are also not uncommon. Mbi and Musiala at FCB but also Dortmund have made transfers in the past that fall into these categories such as (Coulibaly?), Kamara, Pulisic and Sancho. You could also write an article about why this is possible even though U18 transfers are actually forbidden and then link this to such a transfer. To me it feels like you would rather integrate leagues from days gone by into the database than better reflect today’s events. I don’t have any stats from Transfermarkt.de but I can hardly imagine that people are less interested in the Asian Games than in any of the top leagues from 19… (not the first in the last few weeks/months). As I said, I think it’s nice that you’re trying to expand the database and I think it’s fundamentally good that you’re doing this, I just want to question the focus on what you should do first.
