New in Oosterheem: lunchroom Bij Daan opens second location in the city farm

With the arrival of lunchroom Bij Daan, it seems as if you are looking at the old version of Stadsboerderij De Weidemolen through rose-colored glasses. The same floral wallpaper and old-fashioned crockery, as in the lunchroom in the Stadshart, can now also be seen in this new catering point.

At this location, Bij Daan works together with Teamwerk Zorg and Werkbedrijf De Binnenbaan to help people with a distance to the labor market find work.

The new lunchroom is not only a great place for coffee and cake or lunch: it is mainly a meeting place for the entire district. Isak Kalmijn van Bij Daan: “Older people who are a bit lonely can look for fun here. In addition to the lunchroom, we also want to organize various activities for young and old.”

The menu at Bij Daan De Weidemolen is somewhat smaller than in the Stadshart. Isak: “We sell hot and cold drinks, ice cream, cake and other sweets. We also have pancakes, poffertjes and sandwiches.”
