Work by Marlies Buigel Boering Own photo
Gallery Ruigewaert will start on 13 May with the exhibition „Come into my World“ with the guest exhibitor Marloes Buigel Boering.
What does the world of an artist actually look like. Do they look at everything around us in the same way, growing, blooming, crawling, walking or moving? Gallery owner Tjitske Regnery suspects that artists look more intensely at things around us and interpret what they see differently. She thinks this is because their imagination and creative ability to let go of everything allows them to look at the environment with an open mind.
Come into my World therefore means to enter the world of the artist. The way in which they shape their experience of nature, cities, feelings and impressions. The impressions they gain are translated on the canvas with passion and color.
Ruigewaert has asked Marloes Buigel Boering to participate in this exhibition, because she can also express exactly how an artist goes to work. The artist says “being touched by what you see and feel, being inspired by it, following it and translating it into a painting, ink drawing, sketch or doodle….”
Buigel Boering mostly works with oil paint on canvas, but also makes ink drawings on paper. Her way of painting is impressionistic and realistic, although she is not afraid of some abstraction either. Each painting or drawing tells its personal story.
There are also 28 contemporary, mostly northern artists in this exhibition, as well as works of art from the private collection of individuals and collectors.
The exhibition starts May 13 and ends July 3 ]. Opening hours are Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 5 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm and by appointment. For more information, see www.galerieruigewaert.com.
