Pingyao is one of the best preserved examples of an ancient Chinese urban settlement and also offers insight into traditional Chinese life and culture. The streets are filled with shops, restaurants and stalls selling local handicrafts, traditional food and souvenirs. Also, there are traditional festivals and performances periodically held in the village.
Even Xijiang Qianhu among the most villages on Earth
Equally fascinating Xijiang Qianhu Miaozhai famous village located in Guizhou Province, China. It is known to be the largest and oldest Miao ethnic minority village in the country. The village is surrounded by hills and has picturesque natural beauty and the inhabitants maintain their ancient traditions and customs i.e. the skill in weaving, constructing wooden buildings and playing traditional musical instruments.
And Lu Lang
It is also part of the “most beautiful villages on earth”. Lu Lang, a village in the Tibet Autonomous Region, whose name means “valley of the dragon king”. The town is built near water and forests, grasslands and villages complement each other. It is full of Tibetan elements with its roofs, courtyards and wooden fences. Like the others, time seems to flow much more slowly here and this detail leaves anyone who visits it enchanted.
