New creative director comes from Bottega Veneta

Matteo Tamburini takes on the role of Creative Director at Tod’s.

In this position, Tamburini will be responsible for creative direction for the women’s and men’s collections, Tod’s announced on Friday. His first creation for the Italian fashion house will be the women’s collection for FW24/25, which he will present at Milan Fashion Week in February.

“Matteo Tamburini is a talented creative. His modern vision of high quality and Italian lifestyle will definitely add value to our brand,” said Diego Della Valle, CEO of Tod’s Group, which, in addition to the eponymous brand, also includes Roger Vivier, Hogan and Fay. “Tamburini will coordinate a creative team of highly qualified employees who bring a deep understanding of the world of luxury.”

Tamburini comes from the Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta, where he has worked since 2017. He has been active in the fashion industry since the early 2000s and has worked for various luxury brands. At Tod’s he succeeds Walter Chiapponi, who has taken up the post of head designer at the Italian brand Blumarine and will also show his first collection in Milan in February.
