New coach: Dirk Kuyt wants to bring ADO Den Haag to the Eredivisie

Ex-Liverpool striker

Former centre-forward Dirk Kuyt is the new head coach at ADO Den Haag, succeeding Giovanni Franken. As announced by the Dutch second division club, the 41-year-old will receive a contract limited to 2023 with the option of another season. “I want to bring ADO back to the Eredivisie within a year,” said Kuyt (quoted via “Telegraph”) at his presentation.

“ADO is a club that belongs in the Eredivisie. (…). We want to keep the good players from now on and strengthen ourselves as much as possible,” says Kuyt, for whom it is the first station as the responsible professional head coach. He previously coached the Feyenoord U19s and assisted with the Quick Boys. The 104-time national player of the “Elftal” played the most games for Liverpool FC.
