The construction of the new Bravis Hospital in Roosendaal can continue with some adjustments in the zoning plan. The Council of State concludes this on Wednesday after a few companies and local residents had objected to the plans. The two locations of the Bravis Hospital in Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom are merged at the new location in Roosendaal.

The plans were worked out in 2024 and presented to the outside world. The new hospital will be located along the A58 and is surrounded by a large green park. Fifteen objectioners appealed. Most of them are local residents, including from the adjacent Tolberg district.

The objectioners also belonged to the Foundation of course involved Tolbergn’s profession, just like three pig farms and two farms from the neighborhood. Six objectioners were unsuccessful. The Council of State indicates the other orphaned the Administrative Jurisdiction Department on some defects in the plan.

Those defects have now been restored by the same Administrative Jurisdiction department, the highest general administrative court in our country. For example, an extra building option was deleted from the zoning plan. Furthermore, the construction of the park was not clearly laid down in the old zoning plan. The Administrative Law Division also recovered that defect itself. Solutions were also found in a new zoning plan for the other problems in the plan.

The building is built with sustainable materials and the hospital is completely off the gas. The temperature is controlled with heat pumps. Solar panels will be built on the roofs. As a result, 80 percent less nitrogen is emitted and 60 percent are saved on energy.
