For the third time in three years, excessive rainfall in September flooded the Vaste Vuist gymnasium in Lauwe. In the future, this should be a thing of the past, thanks to the adjacent new artificial grass field.
The field is part of the renovated Sportpark Ter Leie, which should be completely finished in the spring. “The green lung has ensured that water management will be under control. It is not yet completely finished, but today we can put the new football field into use,” says councilor Renaat Vandenbulcke.
