New anti-trans law in the American state of Kansas: 3,500 amended birth certificates and driver’s licenses suddenly invalid

In the American state of Kansas, the birth certificates and driver’s licenses of trans people have been declared invalid if they have had their gender changed on those documents. A new law, Senate Bill 244, bans such changes, even if they had been made in the past. This would involve about 1,700 driving licenses and 1,800 birth certificates.
