Bruce Springsteen is expected to announce a new album this Thursday, September 29th. At least that’s what posts on his social media accounts suggest. “Spin [das Radio] on, September 29 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time [16 Uhr mitteleuropäische Zeit]’ it said on Twitter.

A video was also shown in which an old radio switched back and forth between the frequencies. In addition, there are always snippets of new songs to listen to for a few seconds. These are covers of well-known soul songs: Springsteen performs Frank Wilson’s “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)”, Tyrone Davis’ “Turn Back the Hands of Time” and The Commodores’ “Night Shift”.

There have been rumors for some time that the “Boss” wants to release a cover album. In addition, ROLLING STONE founder Jan Wenner slipped out a comment on an upcoming album in an interview in September: “And by the way, there is a new record by Bruce (Springsteen) that will be released this fall. She is gorgeous. I’m listening to them on rotation right now!”

According to Spin.com, Springsteen has reunited with producer Ron Aniello, who has also produced his last four albums. Springsteen’s last album “Letter To You” was released in 2020.
