News from Gil Ofarim: The singer has announced his new album for 2026 on Instagram. And an “unplugged” show promised in advance. On Tuesday (August 26th) Ofarim wrote: “… New album in 2026 ✔️ … a unplugged show in 2025? ..”
His comeback concert in the Bochum Matrix (April 2025) was not sold out. Nevertheless, the singer – according to Judging – looked happy about the step of having dared to have dared to go back to people.

Ofarim and his new wife Patricia presented themselves on Instagram in a partner look. On a T-shirt and a hoodie, the middle finger scene is sketchy from its wedding. “Be more than just appearance! At the same time, one could think that he also alludes to his lie to the scandal in the Westin-Hotel in Leipzig. Despite the confession, he may even believe that he has done nothing to be reprehensible?
What happened back then?
In 2021, in a video he claimed to have been anti -Semitically in a Leipzig hotel. The story triggered outrage nationwide. Two years later it turned out: the musician had lied. In court, he confessed that he had raised invented allegations and, if also months later, paid a money requirement of 10,000 euros.
Since then, the call has been liable to him as a “lying Gil”. A video that he staged as a great statement did not include a direct apology to the hotel employee, whose life got out of joint through the lie.
No words to the Westin Hotel employee, “Mr. W.”, whom the termination may have threatened-and received the threat of murder. The Westin Hotel in Leipzig was not only exposed to a shit storm, but also finished financial losses in the course of cancellations of outraged guests. Many have the opinion that Ofarim, who is Jewish faith, have caused great damage to his religious community.
