Over the past 5 years, the number of living wage students in Flanders has increased by more than half, to more than 8,500. This is reported by the VRT on the basis of figures from the Federal Public Service Social Integration and a survey among the provincial capitals. The increase is due to various crises and changing policies in many cities and municipalities.
