Skeleton Olympic champion Hannah Neise and table tennis European champion Dang Qiu are North Rhine-Westphalia’s athlete of the year.
Like Laura Nolte/Deborah Levi (two-man bobsleigh/team of the year), Jörg Roßkopf (table tennis/coach) and Annika Zeyen (wheelchair basketball/para-sport), they were awarded the Felix Trophy on Friday evening in Düsseldorf.
“The sports state of North Rhine-Westphalia is diverse, powerful and successful,” said Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst. Around 30,000 votes were counted in the online voting for the 2022 NRW sports election.
