In Aalbeke, near Kortrijk, there is renewed protest against the plans of concrete and construction company Bosschaert to mine clay there. The company submitted an application for this ten years ago, but withdrew it after a neighborhood protest. The public inquiry for the application now runs until February 4, and the deputation must then decide by mid-April.
