Negotiations with Washington will not end protests in Iran, says Ayatollah Khamenei

The protests that have been going on in Iran for more than two months now will not end through negotiations with the United States, according to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. “Washington will always demand more,” says Iran’s top religious leader. The protests were prompted by the death of Mahsa Amini, who died after her arrest by the vice squad. According to Tehran, the “riots” are being encouraged by the West, and in particular by the United States.
