Ratiopharm Ulm has a new investor – and a really prominent one. NBA player Isaiah Hartenstein becomes a shareholder in the traditional German basketball club.
NBA professional Isaiah Hartenstein has joined former German basketball champion ratiopharm Ulm as an investor. As the club announced on Friday, the “Hartenstein Group” is taking over up to ten percent of the shares in the Ulm basketball program. When selecting the club, the development of young players was particularly important to the 26-year-old.
“The team is well led and although they are focused on helping the players take the next step, they remain competitive,” said the Oklahoma City Thunder professional about the 2023 German champions: “That mix was real for me exciting and when I grew up I always loved the Ulm fans.”
Hartenstein has been playing for various teams in the North American professional league since 2018 and has been under contract with Oklahoma City since the start of the season.
