Nba: Morant gives teammate Bane the ‘most improved player’ award

The Memphis star had the most improved player trophy found on the kitchen counter, won in recent days: “You deserve it”

He found it on the kitchen counter at home. Wrapped up. Ja Morant is already a superstar and the award he won as the player who showed the most progress in the last season (most improved player), he didn’t deserve. At least that’s the opinion of the person concerned, who was cheering for teammate Desmond Bane.

So, after it was assigned to him, Morant has seen fit to give it to the runner-up, or Bane. He unveiled it the same All Star of the Grizzlies with a video posted on Instagram. “@ _dbane1 I left your prize in the kitchen, you deserve it,” Morant wrote in the post. The All-Star 2022 also responded to a Bally Sports tweet highlighting his selfless gesture.

Growth

The guard had a great second NBA season and was instrumental in Memphis’s success, who finished second in the West and now stands 2-2 in the first-round series with Minnesota.

Bane has improved his scoring average by 9 points per game, passing to 18.2, he started in a quintet in 76 games and shot with excellent percentages (46% on play, 44% from three, 90% to free throws), with even 4 , 4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals.
