The attack on the D66 party office has been widely condemned in political circles. From D66 leaders to the leader of Forum for Democracy, they all expressed their disgust. Completely right. Violence endangers lives, does not solve political problems and directly damages democracy. After the murder of Pim Fortuyn, after the decades-long hostage-taking of Wilders by Islam terrorists and after the many threats to local politicians, administrators and their families, you would think it would be clear to everyone: there is no ‘yes, but’ as an excuse for violence.
