Behind the programs of the companies, there are life stories that are worth reflecting because they are a source of inspiration and motivation. Since 2016, Naturgy implements a social inclusion program through gastronomy, called “Flavor energy”Its objective is to train young people between 18 and 25 years old, unemployed or in a situation of job precariousness, so that they can undertake a productive activity and perform in trades linked to gastronomy. Naturgy Thus promotes the generation of genuine and sustainable employment that allows beneficiaries to get out of the situation of social vulnerability in which they are.
Daiana Rodríguez is 31 years old and is from La Perlita, a neighborhood of Moreno in the province of Buenos Aires. Study the technical in Gastronomy at the Technical Training Institute 179Carlos Pellegrini, in the same Buenos Aires town. It is in the last year of the race and is a taste teacher of the flavor.
“In the last edition of Energy of Taste I met participants passionate about gastronomy forging the foundations of a future linked to this activity, in any of its branches”, Daiana says Regarding this vein of the program that arouses the interest of the participants to follow the entrepreneurial path.
In 2022, the company decided to add the entrepreneurship axis to the program, so that young people can acquire knowledge that allows them tomorrow to undertake their own business.
In relation to the impact of training on participants for Daina: “In the short term, training gives them the necessary tools to move in the gastronomic world and long term, allows them to choose a path for the future. In many cases the interest in undertaking with food, pastry and pastry was aroused”
This program, whose editions were carried out in different locations in the province of Buenos Aires and San Miguel Tucumán, It is already trained to more than 950 young people and articulated with different social organizations.
Daiana is delighted with the dynamics generated in the groups. “I highlight teamwork and mutual accompaniment. The perfect climate for learning was generated”, assures.
The teacher met a group grateful for the opportunity. “What participants value the most is the practical part, bring the explanations of each method or technique to the dish. The teaching accompaniment at this stage is key because through that link all doubts are taken to advance the learning process”, He added.
And in relation to his own experience, Daina says: “As a teacher I love to see how participants grow from the first class until the end of the program. Personally, for me it also meant growth. In Fruit Energy I was a chair assistant and today I am a holder, role that occupies a lot of responsibility. I love to contribute my knowledge to strengthen the gastronomic item”

The 2025 edition of Flavor Energy already had its chapter in Tucumán and will soon take place in Buenos Aires. This year’s novelty is the incorporation of an itinerant school to reach vulnerable groups. The training will be issued in different social organizations that are beneficiaries of the Food Bank. Thus, nutritional quality is added for children who feed in these organizations and at the same time, they are given an opportunity for growth to trained people.
