Sint-Oedenrode – Heating the house with cow dung. Fermentation of manure has long been controversial because of odor nuisance. Hundreds of houses are now heated with natural gas from cow dung. Farmers see this as an alternative to reducing livestock. “I not only supply natural gas, I also supply fertilizer and I am a solution to the Dutch nitrogen problem.”
