De la Fuente chooses Asensio to play for the injured Rodrigo Moreno
The coach only makes one more change regarding the match against Italy, the entry of Fabián for Merino
The Catalan Ansu Fati will not be a starter in the Nations League final that the Spanish team will play tonight in Rotterdam against Croatia. The Barça player could have entered the eleven due to Rodrigo Moreno’s injury, but Luis de la Fuente preferred to line up Asensio.
Two other Barça players will start in the Nations League final: Gavi and Jordi Alba, although the full-back will not continue as a Barça player next season.
The Spanish coach has opted for two changes with respect to the eleven that started last Thursday against Italy. Asensio enters for the Rodrigo Moreno headdress, while Fabián will act next to Rodri in the pivot, replacing Mikel Merino.
