National wrestler Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu became world champion – Last minute Wrestling news



In the ongoing organization in the capital Belgrade, Buse faced Delgermaa Enkhsaikhan from Mongolia in the women’s 68 kg final.


The national wrestler, who won the match with a pinfall, achieved the first world championship in his career. Buse had previously won 2 bronze medals in the world championships.


Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu also became the first Turkish female wrestler to become a world champion after Yasemin Adar Yiğit.


Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, who spoke with Buse on the phone after the final match, congratulated the national athlete.


Buse defeated Moldovan Irina Ringaci in her first match and Mexican Alejandra Rivera Arriaga by pinfall in the last 16 rounds, and defeated Czech Adela Hanzlickova 8-0 in the quarter-finals.


The national athlete, who won the semi-final match with Japanese Ami Ishii with technical superiority, made it to the final and received a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
