The National Women’s Handball Team played away against Hungary in its first match within the scope of EHF EURO Cup 2026. The match was refereed by the referee couple Marko Sekulic and Vladimir Jovandic from Serbia. The Crescent Stars, who finished the first half of the match played at Kanizsa Arena in the city of Nagykanizsa, trailing 19-15, lost the match with a score of 43-30.
Nurceren Akgün Göktepe 6 in the crescent-star team; Beyzanur Türkyılmaz, Aslı İskit Çalışkan and Ceylan Aydemir scored 4 goals each, Buğu Sönmez and Emine Gökdemir scored 3 goals each, Seval Bozova and Yağmur Özler scored 2 goals each, and Edanur Burhan and Gülcan Tügel scored 1 goal each.
National Women’s Handball Team will play its second match in the EHF EURO Cup 2026 on Sunday, October 19, at 18.00 at Ankara Prof. Dr. They will face Denmark at Yaşar Sevim Handball Hall.
