Our National Football Team lost 1-0 to Paraguay in the 2nd match of 2026 FIFA World Cup Group D.
Coach Vincenzo Montella of the National Team, which lost its chance to advance to the next round of the World Cup, made a statement after the defeat.

“I am very, very sorry. There were great expectations on behalf of our nation. We also had high expectations. I am also very sorry on behalf of the TFF, I know how they work. I know how the players work. I have been in football for 35 years, normally it happens once every 50 years, but it happened to us in 2 matches! There are 65 shots in two matches. I am not even talking about playing with the ball. Destiny was not on our side.”
