National player Antonio Rüdiger appears to be staying in Spain. He will probably continue to play for the “Royal”.
According to a report, national player Antonio Rüdiger is about to extend his contract with Real Madrid. As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports on Platform X, Rüdiger and the Royals have verbally agreed on a new contract until June 2027. According to the report, the central defender has already accepted an offer from the club and will sign the contract shortly.
Rüdiger has been playing for Real Madrid since 2022 and has since won the Champions League, the Spanish championship and the Spanish Cup once with the club. Last season, the former Stuttgart player only played 26 games in all competitions due to several injuries.
National coach Julian Nagelsmann has named Rüdiger in his 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada. The defender has repeatedly come under public criticism in recent months because of his aggressive style of play.
