Just last year, Missy Bo Kearns made her debut for the England national team. Now she will be out for some time. The reason, however, is encouraging.
England international soccer player Missy Bo Kearns is pregnant. The 24-year-old announced this with a video on Instagram. In the clip, the Aston Villa midfielder and her partner, Luton Town professional Liam Walsh, can be seen one after the other writing the words “Mum and Dad” on a wall with a brush.
In addition, the footballer couple also announced the approximate date of birth by writing “September 2026”. Kearns then holds a few ultrasound images into the camera.
There are numerous congratulations under the post, including from Kearn’s England teammates. Alessia Russo writes: “Congratulations Bo”. Leah Williamson is also happy: “Love this for you” and Alex Greenwood writes: “The best news. I’m so happy for you.” Kearns’ club Aston Villa shared the baby news with the comment: “A baby Villian is on the way.”
Kearns will probably be missing from the club for the rest of the current season and at the start of next season. First of all, she will probably take part in contact-free training.
Kearns made her debut for the England senior national team in June 2025 and has made three international appearances to date. However, she was only in the reserve squad for the European Championships in summer 2025. Walsh has been playing for English second division club Luton Town since summer 2024. The 28-year-old central midfielder has previously worked for several clubs. These include Hull City, Swansea City, Bristol City and Conventry City.
