The December 30, 2024 it will be an epochal date for the National Health Service (SSN). After years of waiting, from that date a significant update will be introduced to the health services available for Italian citizens, which it will bring with it over 1,100 new treatments and servicesmany of which will be provided free of charge or with the payment of a ticket.
The update of health services concerns the tariffs for outpatient and prosthetic specialist services, which were stuck in 1996 and 1999 respectively, for a total of over 3 thousand performances. After being made official last November by Tariff Decree approved at the State-Regions Conference, this historic change is ready to come into force a few hours before the end of the year.
