National gymnast Tuba Bade Şahin’s goal is the 2028 Olympics!



14-year-old national athlete Tuba Bade Şahin, who won the silver medal at the Trampoline Gymnastics Junior World Championship, aims to win an Olympic medal.


National athlete Tuba Bade Şahin, who came second in the world with Ada Kanat in the synchronous as well as individual at the Trampoline Gymnastics Junior World Championships held in Birmingham, England, continues her training.


National athlete Tuba Bade Şahin also expressed that she was happy to achieve a historical success. Explaining that they participated in the championship in England by preparing very well, Şahin said, “I believed that I would get a medal. I think my efforts paid off. I came 2nd in the individual category in the championship. I also came second in the synchronous event with my friend Ada Kanat and won the silver medal.” said.


The national athlete stated that he started sports at the age of 4 with artistic gymnastics and later switched to trampolining, and that he achieved a good degree. Stating that her mother enrolled her in gymnastics because she was very active as a child, the national athlete continued as follows:


“I was very active as a child. My parents also enrolled me in gymnastics. I first started in Isparta, and then continued in Samsun due to my father’s appointment. I started sports at the age of 4. I have been doing gymnastics for 10 years, including artistic and trampoline. I have Turkish championships and European medals.”


Stating that his goal is to win an Olympic medal, Şahin said, “My goal is the 2028 Olympics, and I will work hard for that. I hope I can achieve good success in the Olympics with Çağdaş coach.” said.

Coach Çağdaş Keşkür said that they were happy to receive the reward of their efforts.


Expressing that he was very happy about the success of his athlete, Keşkür said, “Our athlete came second in the world with the athlete from Çankırı in individual and synchronous races. We are proud as Samsun. We have received the reward of our efforts for many years. But we are not over yet, we have Olympic quota competitions ahead of us. Afterwards, there are European championships. We are preparing for them. ” he said.


Underlining that their goal is an Olympic medal, Keşkür said, “The biggest goal of a coach and athlete is the Olympics. There are quota competitions in Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. Hopefully, we will achieve more success in the coming years.” he said.


Stating that they have trained many athletes as a team, coach Keşkür said, “We have a lot of potential. We need a bigger hall and new equipment. We invite children to do sports. Trampoline is a very enjoyable sport. We have a good team. We will work for new successes.” said.
