Public transport
Bee The Line approximately 65 percent of the buses in our province will run. The impact will be greatest on the coast: half of the coastal trams will not run tomorrow. Travelers are advised to consult De Lijn’s route planner in advance, because only the journeys that are actually run are listed there.
At the NMBS no disruption is expected. Train traffic is running normally, although the railway company is counting on extra travelers to Brussels for the demonstration. Two additional trains leave from Ostend on Tuesday morning to Brussels North, at 8.27 am and 8.45 am.
Airports
At the airports of Zaventem and Charleroi no departing passenger flights will operate on Tuesday. Arriving flights may also be affected by the strike by security personnel.
The airports of Ostend and Antwerp however, they are fully operational. All flights and airport operations will continue as planned. Travelers can depart or arrive at both airports with peace of mind.
Education and shops
The education unions are taking part in the action, but most schools remain open. According to a survey by Teacher Tapp Flanders, more than 80 percent of teachers will teach as usual on Tuesday.
Also in the tradeector the unions are calling on employees to participate in the national action, although it is still unclear how many stores will actually close.
