The men’s alpine ski races from January 21 to 23 in Kitzbühel are supposed to take place in front of spectators despite the rising number of corona. You have to “send a signal”, said the President of the Kitzbühel Ski Club, Michael Huber, of the Austrian news agency APA. 1,000 visitors are to be admitted to the legendary Hahnenkamm races. Last winter, due to the pandemic, they took place without a spectator.

The training sessions on the days before the races should also be made available to fans. The 2G-plus regulation and FFP2 mask requirement apply to all events. In Kitzbühel there are two downhill runs on January 21 and 22 and a slalom on January 23.
