National coach Wiegman with English football players to the European Championship final
Sarina Wiegman has convincingly reached the final of the European Championship with the football players of England. The successful Dutch national coach also saw her team win the semi-final against Sweden (4-0). Beth Mead, Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo and Fran Kirby scored the goals at Bramall Lane in Sheffield.
England will face the winner of the other semi-final, which is between Germany and France, at a packed Wembley on Sunday. Those teams will face each other on Wednesday evening in Milton Keynes. National coach Wiegman won the previous European Championship with the Dutch national team, which was now eliminated by France in the quarterfinals of this tournament, after extra time (1-0).
