National coach Koeman leaves Van de Ven out of the selection against Greece

The debut for Micky van de Ven has to wait a while. The defender of Tottenham Hotspur is in the stands with Ian Maatsen tonight at the European Championship qualifier between the Netherlands and Greece.

Micky van de Ven is part of the selection of the Dutch national team for the first time. This summer, the inhabitant of Wormer made the move from Wolfsburg in Germany to Tottenham Hotspur. The defender is assured of a base spot in the English capital. Competitor Daley Blind is part of the match selection against Greece. The former Ajax player has been playing for Girona since this summer. At the Spanish club, Blind has not missed a minute and is lined up as a left central defender every week.

Hatzidiakos

Pantelis Hatzidiakos plays for Greece. The former AZ player has a Greek father and Dutch mother and went through a large part of the youth academy of the Alkmaar club. In the past, the central defender played for the Orange under 17, but finally opted for the southern European country. Last week Hatzidiakos left AZ for an Italian adventure. Serie A club Cagliari is now his new employer. So far, 26-year-old Hatzidiakos has played 27 international matches for his country. With the Greeks, John van het Schip is the national coach and AZ player Vangelis Pavlidis is at the point of the attack.
