“The KNCB, the board, the staff, the players and the Dutch cricket community are in total shock at the news of the heart attack that Ryan suffered during a family holiday in the United Kingdom,” the cricket association reports. “On behalf of the KNCB, we would like to convey our sincere thoughts to Ryan, his wife Leontina and his children. We hope Ryan makes a full and speedy recovery.”
The 50-year-old Campbell has been the national coach of the Dutch cricketers since 2017. The Australian is said to have had the heart attack when he was on a playground with his children.
