Hovocubo and Sander van Dijk continue together for longer. The coach has extended his contract with the Hoorn indoor football club for two years. Van Dijk recently helped Hovocubo to the seventh national championship in history.
Van Dijk has been the longest serving coach in futsal for some time now. In 2007 he joined Hovocubo and experienced several successes with the club. After a best-of-three against FC Eindhoven, he won the seventh national title in club history. That was the fourth with Van Dijk as trainer (2014, 2018, 2019 and 2022).
“We participate in each other every year for the prizes and that tastes like more. If you win a lot and often and you enter the Champions League, those are unique moments,” said Van Dijk after winning the last national title. Next year, the Horinese will again compete with the top of Europe in the Champions League and therefore with Van Dijk as head coach.
