Derin Toparlak, one of the TSSF Finswimming Seniors and Juniors National Team athletes who represented Türkiye at the 2025 World Confederation of Underwater Activities (CMAS) Finswimming Open Water Seniors and Juniors World Championships held between 9-11 October in Marine Alamein town on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt, came 3rd in the world. Toparlak, who showed a successful performance among his strong competitors on the 5 km long sea course in the open water races, which is considered the marathon of fin swimming, won the bronze medal by completing the 5 km in 47 minutes, 20 seconds and 4 split seconds. One of his competitors, Egyptian Hasan Mohamed Eldafrawy, won the gold medal with a time of 46 minutes, 09 seconds and 3 milliseconds, and Mohap Ehap Helmy from the same country received the silver medal with a time of 46 minutes, 43 seconds and 7 milliseconds.

National flag team consisting of İbrahim Can Kiracı, Berra Nur Yılmaz, Ali Aras Ödüm and Zeynep Azra Kanat, junior mixed 4×150 m. He also ranked 4th in the world in the qualifying double palette.
