The national arrival of Sinterklaas will take place this year in the South Holland municipality of Hellevoetsluis, the NTR announced on Wednesday. The entry will take place on Saturday 12 November.
Milène Junius, mayor of Hellevoetsluis, reports that he is delighted. “We are looking forward to welcoming Sinterklaas in Hellevoetsluis on 12 November! Our beautiful fortified harbor has existed for no less than 400 years and a lot has already happened in this harbor in that time. Now the arrival of Sinterklaas has been added.”
Junius also says she hopes to see “a lot of happy faces on the quays”. Due to the corona measures, there has been no national entry with the public in recent years.
