There was no doubt about the better team in Tampere’s NHL matches. Colorado took a full point pot with them on their return trip.
The contribution of the Finnish players of the champion team met all expectations. Mikko Rantanen scored 3+2 in two matches, while Artturi Lehkonen scored a goal in Saturday’s match.
– Today we came hard and didn’t give up too many chances. Four points, it couldn’t have gone much better, Rantanen said.
Instead, the Finns’ chain mate Nathan MacKinnon put it better than them combined. The Canadian star forged no less than seven assist points in Tampere and gave the Finns a chilling acknowledgment.
– It feels incredible. Suck it up! MacKinnon snapped.
Not a chance in Columbus

On Friday, Colorado scored a lot of points for Columbus, but on Saturday, the pace remained firmly in the hands of the Champions.
– We improved a lot. We talked in the morning that our fighting game on Friday was not at the level at which we could win, Rantanen analyzed.
Despite Columbus’ weak performances, Rantanen gave understanding to the opponent.
– We also sometimes have bad nights. There are no bad teams in the NHL. Everyone knows that one leg doesn’t always fly, and it can be like this if the other one doesn’t walk.
– I think they have a good team, but they probably lack a little self-confidence, Rantanen said.
Back home
After the week spent in Finland, there is a return to North America and Denver.
Both Finns nodded that Finland’s supply was full this time.
– Everyone has liked it, but it’s nice to get back to everyday life. Of course, we could stay here for the rest of the year.
– That’s exactly how it is, Lehkonen nodded.
